Director Of Studies

AYENI J E
THE Director Of Studies

It’s been daunting , arduous but not in any way insurmountable . Really, it’s been very challenging these few months and definitely going to be more in the months and years to come if God permits. The simple reason being that man is the most difficult to manage of God’s creatures. What with the intrigues and style of teachers, different perceptions and ideas of people about the same thing and the confusions that often arise thereby.
Amazingly, we stay afloat of it all; thanks to God Almighty who supplies all that is required and the most wonderful team of dedicated professionals. This farm team has sworn to win and put their lives on the line to see that Nigeria and indeed the black race produces a rare breed and new generation of people who will in the nearest future revolutionize our life style.
These have drawn us closer to our dreams and so we have been able to cut our teeth in the scheme of things within a very short time. Through much labour, a consistently positive thinking and fervour, we have been able to create a brand for ourselves; one whose influence reaches far beyond our terrain and frontiers.
By every standard, Queensland is an international school and the brand is ever modified to suit the changing needs of the time. Though operating a core Nigerian curriculum, we have decided to spice it up a little with the addition of the British : a little of the Letts Series, SATS and Cambridge syllabi . The aim is to target the Years 7-9 students ,exposing and preparing them for international scholarships; Six out of every ten queenslander ends up in the international college circuit.
The more reason we thank God for the nominations of two of our students for the final selection of the African Leadership Academy (South African Scholarship) and United World colleges respectively. We have therefore instituted a special scholarship class for gifted Years 9-11 students, which coaching will embrace local, British and American curriculum in mathematics, the sciences, the English language, Essay writing and general studies.
Of course, we are not leaving the SAT, TOEFL, London GCE and GCSE examinations, which already form part of the Queensland brand. And you know what makes it interesting as well as fulfilling? We have got all it takes to stand the test of this carefully structured system.
Our well monitored and serene boarding facilities, maximum of 15 students per class system, well policed students leading to a group of cultured and disciplined children, and a generally conducive environment, consciously put in place to meet our ever changing and challenging world.
Much more can be said but we can only invite you into our world to partake of the riches that God has endowed us with. Why not join us and see how we make mountains flat surfaces. We surely make royalty out of children
